Freshman Class:
The freshman session went pretty well. They seemed very interested in Phostoshop and doing the challenges for the day. They all caught on pretty well and I had fun teaching presenting the information as well. The only thing I noticed is that I didnt really have the chance to have my unit support do much presenting and that' s mainly just because of the fact tat we didnt really get a chance to all meet up and go over the plan at all before the sessions so I dont think they would have really known where to go if I let them jump in anywhere so thats definitley something to keep in mind and improve on. The exploration went well, they all got into tyhe challenges very quickly, however im not sure if everyone got their work saved (although im sure the majority did) because not everybody had their own folder made in the student projects folder--so next time i'll make sure that they definitely get that done and save all of their work to it. For the certification section, we spent all of the time working on their BTW (which im not sure everyone got done) so we didnt get to the blog time because i was so caught up in the BTW that i forgot all about it.
Sophomores:
This day went generally the same as far as getting to everything planned; the only difference is that we did get to the blog and im pretty sure i made sure everyone made a folder and saed their work to it. The main concern i think will be with this class is keeping their attention focused on their work or whoever is presenting information at the time because myspace, facebook, games, etc. was a really big problem with them throughout the whole session. So i think one thing i will definitely start doing is unpluggin their internets whenever they dont need to access for anything directly related to their work at ITA.
